Basement Remodeling In Whitefish Bay, WI
Our basement finishing team recently remodeled a basement for a client in Whitefish Bay, WI. This home located on Lake Drive had a previously finished basement that desperately needed a complete remodeling makeover to suit the homeowners’ design style. Old finished basements in the past were often afterthoughts with inferior finishes. Whereas most finished basements today aim to have the same look and feel as the main living areas. This family plans to spend a lot of time in their newly remodeled basement, so quality finishes were a must. Having an open staircase is an important feature for any finished basement. As you first walk down the stairs, this open staircase immediately sets the tone for the finished basement. The staircase mimics the staircase that these homeowners have on the main level; including solid walnut handrails, detailed walnut newel post, and iron balusters. Make sure your basement design features complement the style of your home.
Basement Bar Built with Walnut Wood & Granite Tops
Another design feature of this basement is the walnut wood bar panels with granite tile countertops. This looks like a brand new custom-built basement bar, but that is not entirely true. We reused the old bar as the shell of our new bar. Our custom-made walnut bar panels wrapped the old bar to create a modern look. The granite tile countertop completed the facade. We were able to create the new basement bar that these homeowners really wanted at a fraction of the cost. We have an in-house cabinetmaker which allows us easily build custom features like this bar.
